Enhancing Usability of design by using 'Consistency'
Consistency is very important for web design. A business needs an identity for the customer or client's needs. Victreefi is slowly start to build its brand, so it it important to keep the elements they are looking for. I also focused on the principle of Entry Point since I am working on the landing page
Research has shown that if a design is inconsistent it might take users to take a longer period of time to complete a task and results in more error. The designer must Build a system through a user’s perspective which helps them be more consistent. Owner of Victreefi mentioned that a lot of users tend to get lost in the webpage and have a difficult time to navigate, which made me realize that the designed the page without the lens of the user. This is an important point that should not be over looked while creating a design.
For this project I am focused on how the design is perceived. The main principal I worked with was Alignment. I also used the principle of legibility and highlighting. Legibility is important for the visual clarity of the text which must be considered in web design. I used highlighting on "ADD TO CART" for clear visibility for customers.
Alignment helps create a sense of organization to a design which helps in the aesthetic of it. It makes a design more appealing to the user and creates easy navigation. As a designer we always need to think about what the user wants and usually while using a product they would prefer an easier interface, they want to be able to easily navigate to find what they are looking for with a visual ease.
